Asilo

El asilo es un proceso legal en donde una persona que teme persecución en su país de origen debido a su raza, religión, nacionalidad, opinión política o pertenencia a un grupo social particular, puede solicitar protección en otro país.

Para solicitar asilo en Estados Unidos, el individuo debe encontrarse físicamente en el país o en un puerto de entrada y presentar una solicitud dentro del plazo establecido.
